2023 March 18, Member Meeting Minutes

Call to order: 11:30 AM by President Lynn Ondercin

Welcome by Lynn Ondercin Minutes of previous meeting were accepted. Kay Stammers, Dee Cooper

Treasurers Report: as of 2/28/23 - $7,861.66

Scholarships for Cypress Lake High School and FGCU along with 10 scholarships for the CCAC summer art program will be taken from this total.

'Celebrating Color’ a collaborative exhibit with the Cape Coral Art League was discussed. Receiving will be April 3.

Receiving: Monday, April 3, 2023, from 12 noon to 3 p.m.

Reception: Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 5 pm to 6:30 p.m. Removal: Monday, May 1, 2023, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Mike Ziegler reported that both Art Council Galleries were doing well. The Naples Gallery moved into new space in the same mall. Better visibility.

Raffle drawing for Mike Ziegler’s wood piece brought in $95 and was won by Paul David Adamick. Next months prize is a photo ‘Monterey ‘ donated by Lynn Ondercin.

Paul David reported that the Display Corner is covered for the upcoming months.

Pam Richardson requested that each member check their listing in the yearbook for accuracy and report problems to her.

“Fabulous Florida” 8x8 panels are slowly coming in. Deadline will be May and it is possible that the project will be pushed back to next season.

CCAC has a new Director - Jessica Wisdom. Lynn has a meeting scheduled with her. Short video program “What is Art” was shown Meeting adjourned: 12:05 PM Next meeting: April 15, 2023
