FIRST MEETING OF THE SEASON!

WOW, it's hard to believe summer is almost over and our 2024-2025 season of art, fun, and friendship is about to begin.PLEASE PLAN TO ATTEND the first member meeting of the season at the Cape Coral Art Center on Saturday, September 21st.  Social time begins at 11am, official meeting at 11:30am.  We appreciate you bringing a snack or a beverage to share. Our agenda will include the upcoming Cape Coral Library exhibit, the December Coco Estero show, our decorative mannequin group project, Guild Gallery sign up and early Expo planning. Keep in mind that we'll all be needing enough pieces to show at both the library and the overlapping Coco exhibit.   New members are asked to bring some of their work to show the group.

Cape Coral Library

We are excited to once again be exhibiting at the Cape Coral Library this November and December.  Prospectuses/Entry forms will be available at our September and October meetings.  This is an excellent selling opportunity with NO commission taken because our artists will sell directly to buyers.  This is a 7 week long exhibit running over the holidays -- the perfect gift-buying time of year

COCO ESTERO

Coco Gallery at Coconut Pointe Mall is the Art Council of Southwest Florida's affiliate and members' premier exhibit space.  We are honored to be offered the December Special Exhibit slot.  Our guild has had a history of selling more than any other group!

TOWER GALLERY, An Artists' Cooperative

Tower Gallery is an artists’ cooperative on Sanibel.  This group currently consists of 23 artists in two-dimensional and three-dimensional mediums such as oil, acrylic, watercolor, photography, ceramic, jewelry, fiber, wood, glass and metal.

If you are interested in joining this long standing group and selling your work, just go to their website at towergallery.net and click on "Apply".  The details of membership are at the bottom of the form.

LET THE FUN BEGIN! OUR DING DARLING MANNIQUIN DECORATING PROJECT IS BACK THIS SEASON!  MORE INFORMATION WILL BE AVAILABLE AT MEMBER MEETINGS WITH A TENTATIVE DEADLINE OF MARCH 2025.

THIS CREATIVE PROJECT USING ONLY UPCYCLED/RECYCLED MATERIALS IS OUR DONATION TO THE WILDLIFE REFUGE'S BI-ANNUAL UPCYCLE FASHION SHOW FUNDRAISER.

WE NEED HIGH QUALITY IMAGESOF YOUR WORK!

It's important for the guild's advertising and publicity that we have great photos of your work.  And we can help you create those. The guild owns a photo tent and it is available for any member to use.  It is stored in the conference room closet at CCAC. The only requirement is that you call ahead so they can reserve the room.  Also if you want help photographing your work, contact Lynn and she'll stay after a meeting to assist you.
